Founded in April 2024 by Mauree Brooksher and Stephanie Politz, Mahjong Rouge was created from a shared love of American Mahjong, community, and bringing people together around the table. What began as a passion between friends has quickly grown into one of the most welcoming and inclusive mahjong communities in the Baton Rouge area.

At Mahjong Rouge, we’re building an authentic community centered on connection, learning, and the joy of the game. We welcome players of all levels to learn, laugh, play, and grow together in a fun, supportive environment.

From beginner lessons and guided play to league nights, social events, fundraisers, girls’ trips, and more, we love creating spaces where friendships are formed and Mahjong magic happens. Whether you’re brand new to mahj or a seasoned player, there’s always a seat at our table.
